Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School will be June 3rd through June 7th, 6-8:30 pm. The Closing Program will be Friday, June 8th at 7 pm.

The theme this year will be Operation Overboard -Dare to Go Deep with God.

Many volunteers are needed for VBS. Please consider volunteering in some way. The following positions need to be filled: Teachers, Craft Workers, Recreation Workers, Food Helpers and many more positions...

Children's Ministry

Anyone interested in staying in the Nursery during the 11 am service, please contact Jennifer Smithwick or the church office.

Everyone mark your calendars for our annual Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for Saturday, April 7th. More information to come.

Attention all 3rd-5th graders and parents of those children. A new transitional ministry will begin in March. This ministry will help the
children transition from the children’s ministry to the Youth group. The current plan is to meet once a month for a fun, high energy, exciting timefilled with songs, crafts and games. More information will be coming very soon about this ministry. Please contact Jennifer Smithwick or SteveMatta with questions or ideas.

St. Patrick’s Day Fundraiser

The annual St. Patrick’s Day Dinner fundraiser will take place this year on Saturday, March 17th starting with appetizers and devotional at 5:00 pm and dinner at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $10/adult and a donation for children is appreciated. Proceeds of the fundraiser will benefit the Honduras Mission Trip. A signup sheet will be in the narthex or you can call the church office at 770-886-9662 for ticket information.

Everyone is invited to an evening of fun and fellowship!

Menu: Corned Beef, Cabbage, Potatoes, Dessert.

UMW Notes

 

We welcome all who wish to join us for a visit to Murphy-Harpst Center in Cedartown Ga. On Saturday, February 11th, we will leave the church at approximately 9 am and travel in the church van to Murphy-Harpst and tour the center. Afterwards we will have lunch and return to Orange UMC approximately 3 pm. For more information, please contact Jamie Hogue at 770-853-5182 or Melissa Hunt at 770-887-0463.

The UMW will host a luncheon on February 19th as a fundraiser for the Honduras Mission Trip. The lunch will be immediately after the 11 am worship service in the Fellowship Hall. A signup sheet will be in the narthex with details.

Please remember to collect soup labels and box tops, as these collections help to support various needs in our community. There will be no meeting for the month of February. Our next meeting will be March 26.

Preparations for Annual Benevolence Committee Benefit Play

Stuffed animals and animal costumes for the Noah’s Ark skit in this year’s Benevolence Play titled, I Love to Tell the Stories. The play is tentatively set for late April,but we will need the costumes and stuffed animals in March.
