Orangemen

Brief History of the Orangemen

A group of men from OUMC got together in 1993

with the desire to tell everyone

about what God had done

in their lives.

With a combination of God-given talents,

both musical and vocal, these men formed

The Orangemen.

With their own style and brand of gospel bluegrass music,

The Orangemen have lifted both heart and spirit across northern Georgia

and Alabama as well as being spotlighted at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta

during the North Georgia United Methodist Vision 2000 Launch event.

Crossing the generations in both age and outlook,

the Orangemen understand their purpose

as praising God rather than providing entertainment.

These committed churchmen seek only to bring a blessing to their listeners,

and as God’s presence and fellowship are experienced in that way,

they too are blessed.
